Now That You Are Pregnant
Rest and exercise –put your feet up
- Adequate daily rest and sleep is important during pregnancy.
- Avoid heavy or physical jobs. It is okay to get help if you need to.
- Avoid stressful exercises like jogging, sit-ups, etc
Smoking & drugs –not even a whiff
Smoking cigarette, snuff, etc as well as taking drugs can have adverse effects on your pregnancy and should be avoided.
Alcohol intake also has adverse effects on pregnancy and is therefore not advised.
Traveling is not harmful during pregnancy, but long journeys should be avoided especially during the third trimester. Patients who have antenatal complications are not encouraged to travel.
Loose cloths that provide comfort are advised. Shoes with high heels are also discouraged. That said, don’t neglect your looks. Let others look forward to pregnancy, not dread it.
Your diet should contain adequate amount of carbohydrate, protein, essential oils, vitamins, minerals, and water.
